Since in the last post I talked about creating flowers out of the bottoms of plastic bottles, this time I thought I’d talk about another craft idea which uses up the middle of the bottle.
This site shows us how to create these sparkly butterflies.
They are easy to make and the results can be very beautiful. It’s a fun activity for the kids too.

all you have to do, is draw a butterfly onto the mid part of a plastic bottle, preferably with marker pen so it doesnt smudge or smear.. then, cut the butterfly out… you then have to bend the two wings ‘upwards’ towards the middle (basically, bend them the other way from what the bottle naturally curves) so that they stick out a little. turn them over and paint the underneath of them, that way, the top of them will look shiney and not matt.. then use glitterglue on the top of them… i make these all the time… have done it for a few years and sold them at craft fairs to raise money for a brownies/guides group i volunteer at, its great for kids and they love that people like them. you can stick magnets on the back so they will attach to fridges, or stick lollypops sticks on the back so they will stick onto a planter outside. theyre plastic, so they wont get destroyed!
